1990 born Tahir Annour was trained as a lawyer.
A journalist and novelist from Chad, he was the editor of N’djaména Aldjadida and worked in the Department of Justice.
He now serves as a communications editor at the Sharjah Children Foundation. He currently lives in the UAE.

Tahier Annour received a special mention for the Ibn Battuta Prize for Travel Literature, in the diaries category, in 2024, for An African in Palestine.

He is also the winner of the Tawfiq Bakkar Award for the Arabic Novel in Tunisia, for Qudala; and the recipient of the King Faisal Short Story Prize, for Gold Earth (2015, Chad)
