In the months spanning from March to July, Samar Yazbek, then in Damascus, kept a diary, where she took note of events she witnessed, people she talked to, and her impressions. This diary is now turned into a book entitled ‘In the crossfire: Syrian revolution diaries”. It is yet to be published in Arabic, and the translation rights of which has already been sold to Buchet-Chastel, French (to appear March 2012), Hanser, Nagel-Kimche, German (to appear March 2012), Haus Publishing, English (to appear May 2012).
