Yazbek was featured on La grande librairie last Thursday, guest of Francois Busnel,  along with Amin Maalouf and Erik Orsenna, both of which thought the book was important.

Busnel explained the book sheds a unique light on the event, as Amin Maalouf asserted that it was a “courageous and honest book”. As for Orsenna, and while he appreciated the courageous way in which Samar Yazbek gave a voice to ordinary people, he “deeply troubled by this book”.
